Well, I'm just a old gamer that's been around the block a few times. I'm also an aspiring game developer with a ton of ideas that I think would be fun but I wont know until I try them. With that said why setup a web-site? Well for a couple reasons really. As a gamer I find I take notes on a lot of things and how many notes depends on the game and how in depth I feel I need to go. Sometimes I'm even asked to share these notes with my gamer friends. See I've had a group of friends I've gamed with for over 20 years now. We started out in EverQuest and jumped between MMO's for many years, then we jumped in to various survival multi-player games (Think Valheim and the likes). Inevitability there is some mechanics, or character development or something that needs more explaining than just typing it to our Discord and pinning it or talking it over in chat, because we forget... did I mention I'm old?
Anyway I digress, simply put I figured since I keep track of a lot of info and when asked to share it I re-write it in to an easier to understand form for my friends, why not post it somewhere that I can just link to. And if the public, that's you, happens to stumble across it and finds it helpful as well then so be it, I hope it helps and I hope you enjoy it.
Now with all that rambling out of the way! I plan to use this site to post "Glik's Gaming Guides" which will have sub-categories for the games my friends and I are currently playing. I also intend to create my "Developer Blog" where I will track my daily progress on my game development and maybe I'll even make videos some day. I tried making video's for game guides and I just did not find myself entertaining enough, somewhat because I refuse to pretend to be someone I'm not... and well, I thought I was boring and to monotone.
So there you have it... that is what this site will be about. Now go play a game, have fun and enjoy life because its short enough as it is!
Happy Gaming!
